Is the Sony XZ1 Compact compatible?

Hi, I'm thinking about getting an Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact but before I do I just wanted to make sure it is compatible with the Public Mobile network. I checked the compatibility tool and I didn't see it listed.

Here is a link to it's specs: https://m.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_xz1_compact-8610.php

Thanks!

Hi @bradley_b

Virtually any device sold within North America can be used on the Public Mobile network.

Not all have all the bands available, however with the array of bands which can be utilized across devices and networks, there aren't many which DON'T work.

from what  I can find, this is for Sony Xperia XZ1, I can't confirm the exact model number is the same.. but the name is.  Also, it seems like I can only find the model 8610 from the GSMArena website and no where else.  Unfortunately GSMArena didn't provide the frequency/band for this particular model.

If they are indeed the same, then it would work

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).

4G = B2 (1900), B4/B66 (2100 or 1700), B5 (850), B7 (2600), B12/B17 (700), B13 (700), B29 (700-Suppl. DL), B30 (2300)
3G = B2(1900) B5 (850)
