Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (i9250-M).

According to the link below it's a GSM/HSPA phone.

When i do a phone check (link below) on Public Mobile I get a green checkmark on 3G 850MHz, 1900MHz.

And an orange exclamation point warning for 4G.

Will my phone work on talk and data?

Or just talk?

Or not at all?

It's not very clear even with the phone checker.

thanks for any help

@phoneish you're right. It'll be same as Virgin. There's no requirement to have 4G for data. You'll be fine.

Since PM has coverage very similar to Virgin (Bell), in my opinion, it is safe to assume data coverage wouldnt be any worse.

thanks.

Assuming I'm not getting LTE data right now with Virgin Mobile (because my phone won't handle LTE). Would I be safe to assume the data coverage shouldn't be any worse than what I have with Virgin Mobile?

It means it'll work fine for voice but not LTE data. iirc it'll work for HSDPA data.

@phoneishTalk and HSPDA data would work.. you just won't get LTE data.. so that means your data coverage might be spotty depending where you are.
