Yes it is better to pay ahead to avoid any interruptions in service. It will stay in your account until the renewal date.

Once you get your new phone. Just move the SIM from the old phone to the new phone. If you new phone requires eSIM then download the PM app. Login to your account and purchase a new eSIM.

what phone did you get?

for your own protection, after you got the new phone and used on PM network, submit a ticket with PM support and send them your latest IMEI and a screenshot with the IMEI checker to show your phone is approved
