Incomplete Activation

 I got part way through the activation /porting and got an error message (after entering payment info). Now if I try and redo it, it says invalid SIM. The phone has no service, shows bars with an X. The number no longer works with the previous provider. I can't create an account (can't receive a text), can't log in. I sent a message to the moderators on Saturday and am still waiting for any kind of response.

@Some1  While waiting for the moderator to respond it has been reported that if you wait an hour and try the activation again you might be able to complete the activation. It's important to clear your browser's cache and even try using the browser in icongnito mode.

Is your previous provider's service no longer working because you called in to cancel it?  If you didn't do that, the old provider's service ceasing to work is usually an indication that porting has completed sucessfuly.

@Some1 Check your credit card for a charge but your description sounds as if your transfer request was implemented but your services have not been provisioned. 

Unfortunately, you do need assistance from the Moderator Team. Even though you have already sent a message I suggest you click this: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437 to send a private message to the moderator team with a description of your issue. In the subject line write "NO SERVICE AFTER ACTIVATION AND PORT-IN".

 

Meanwhile, if you need to make phone calls try an application like that from fongo.com  It provides free calling across Canada from wherever you are connected to wifi (or on cellular data). Even though I have never needed it in 4 years, it's my backup service for these situations.
