Ok I couldn't resist any longer and I submitted my port request from Rogers. I double checked that I entered all information correctly in the correct order and got this at the end
EDIT: sorry forgot to mention I made sure to follow the advice in the solution to this thread
I also noticed my Rogers number showing up in my account, rather than the temporary PM number I signed up with. I hope this is a good sign and that nothing bad happens during the port overnight.
Crossing fingers.

Congrats on the switch and enjoy the better value with PM.
You will get a text like the picture above telling you the port is successful.

looks like you are good to go:) failed ports usually allow you to make, but not recieve calls and texts.
glad it went smoothly,

If you can send and receive calls and SMS from your phone, with the ported number, you are good to go.
My port took about 20 minutes to fully complete. Average is around 2.5 hours for cellular number carrier to carrier.

Just got this text message, Then I tested it by making a call and receiving a call and everything works!!. Does that mean its already finished? I thought it takes a few hours or something. It was so fast. I would say it was only 25 minutes maybe less.

@erotavlas, congratulations.
You should get two SMS messages. One to say your port has started, and a second to complete.
volumes should be low at this time, so I think chances are good for you for a quick port.
My fingers and eyes are crossed for you.
