I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 18.5. MMS issues

I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 18.5. I recently switched to Public Mobile. I can send regular texts and use data, but I can’t send MMS (pictures). I get a message saying I need to enable MMS, but it’s already turned on in my settings.

I followed support instructions, but APN settings are not visible or editable on my iPhone, so I can’t verify or change them myself.

How do I confirm that MMS is provisioned on my account and push the correct APN/carrier settings to my device?

Update!

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone.

The automated help was suggesting solutions that were either not available to me (APN), or that did not result in fixing the problem(s).

I finally was able to submit a support ticket and then received a call from a very helpful gentleman from PM who was able to make the necessary changes on their end, and all appears to be working great now.

He also confirmed that the chat help is A.I… hence the going around in circles.

Regular texting in a green bubble?

Or blue bubble “iMessage” ?

If iMessage with data or wifi on…..you cannot send pics to a mix of android and apple users.

hi @ingkan

Tweaking APN is not needed for iPhone.  The actual APN screen for mobile data is locked down with PM, but it is good enough if you update Carrier Profile as Carrier Profile will update the latest and correct APN for you.

if you have trouble with open ticket with PM , use this link to message them directly:

One of the suggested solutions is to verify the APN. Those links don’t work to send a message.

One of the suggested solutions is to verify the APN. Glad you aren’t having issues.

@ingkan

Do an hard reboot of your phone. Volume Up/Volume Down then hold the power button until you see the Apple logo and let go of the button and power off. Wait a few minutes and power phone back on.

iPhone does not utilize APN settings — and my iPhone 15 Pro Max works fine with MMS, RCS and of course iMessage using iOS 18.5

iPhone does not really need to tweak APN, everything is on the Carrier Profile.  Make sure you update the Carrier Profile first.

Then go to Settings and remove the phone number.   Then Reset Network Settings

Reboot the phone, and go back to Settings to enter your phone number back to re-register your phone number

Now, you can text both iMessage and MMS.  Make sure mobile data is turned on for MMS to work

if iMessage works but not MMS, then ask PM to reprovision the account.   Simply open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. (For 2FA  code when login, use email to receive code instead of SMS if you cannot receive the text on the phone.)    When open Chatbot ticket, Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen

But if you have trouble using Chatbot to open ticket, then message PM using this link:
