Activated my Public account yesterday, and ported in my old phone number from my old provider. Data and phone calls and apps have all worked right away, but I'm unable to send or receive any text messages, and I can't locate anything which tells me if I'm checking the right settings.

You will need to update the apn in the phone.

@malecruzv6 If outgoing and incoming phone calls are working, texting should work too. Did you reply to the text message when you ported in your old number to authenticate the port in request? I wonder if it processed properly or not. Try rebooting your device and send a SMS text to a couple of numbers. Also try sending SMS text to your number to see if you receive anything.
