I bought a moto E in Montreal, Canada and then unfortunately had to move to Mexico. What now?

Hey Community, so I bought a moto E in Montreal, Canada and then had to move to Mexico and I want to be able to use the same phone here, but with a different service. I already paid the whole device balance, and the people here told me to contact Public Mobile. So here I am. What do I do? Do I have to get an unlock code or something?

@Luxor28, I don't recall Public Mobile selling the Moto E?

@Luxor28 sad to see you go, but enjoy Mexico. I lived there for a few years myself.

In addition to the comment from @Cyber, I would also suggest verifying what carrier in Mexico will support your device - look for an IMEI checker associated with a local wireless company.

Keep us in mind when you return - temporarily or full time.

@Cyber Oh....I knew it had something to do with a code. Thanks!

@Luxor28,

You can unlock your phone by purchasing an IMEI unlock code from www.cellunlocker.net or eBay.
