Considering on switching from my hard sim to e-sim. Do I need to purchase a new e-sim or do I just do it on my phone for free?

"No, converting a physical SIM to an eSIM on an iPhone does not work for all carriers. While the technology is supported on iPhone XS and newer models, the ability to perform this conversion directly on your phone depends on whether your specific wireless provider supports that feature. "
In this case, the customer doesn't have an eSIM.

hi @Anerkons
changing from Physical to esim is not free, it is $5
if you are ready to change, download the PM app on the new phone, login to the app, go to Account page and choose Buy sim card and select eSIM.
