I have a CAN/US/MEXICO plan, and I'm going to be traveling from Canada to the US shortly. I'd like to avoid any roaming charges. Is there a way to disable roaming ? I'm assuming my data will still work in the US, since it's a CAN/US/MEXICO plan, but I don't want to get any roaming charges if someone from Canada calls/texts me while I'm in the US

I've had my roaming enabled since 2018, traveled to US and Mexico and haven't ever received a bill for overages. As as pre-paid service, once you reach your data limit...it just stops until next regular plan renewal (or you buy an add-on). There's no charge to you to receive calls and texts from anywhere on planet Earth. Enable Roaming is a must to be able to use the service in Mx and USA.

@hTideGnow thanks for the reply !
I'm worried more specifically about calls/texts from Canada to me while I'm in the US. My plan includes 100 mins for long distance calls, so I'm assuming I'm safe there. But would I get charged for international texts ?

no extra roaming charges. PM is prepaid and you will never get any unexpected charges
and with your plan, even when someone from Canada call and text you , you can receive them for free in US

hi @brembo153
you don't need to disable it when you travel to US. Calls, text and data are all included in your CAN/US/MEXICO plan, no extra. In fact, you need to enable Roaming Data on your phone for your service to work in US
