I just got a new SIM card from public mobile and activated it and paid for a plan but have no service on my phone. How long should I have to wait for the service to connect? I called my new number from my land line and got my new voicemail (which I need to set up). So I assume I got the activation correct. Cheers.

OK. Got it sorted. Had to connect the phone to iTunes with the new sim in it. Then had to input my iTunes info. Thanks to all that assisted. Cheers

It is an iPhone. Rogers says that no message will come up for an iPhone just for an android. They assure me it is unlocked. 😞

@9ball, the service should be up and running immediately upon completion of the activation process. The Telus service seems to be having a few hiccups today. It is possible that the network outage affected activations. I lost connection for about 10 minute before lunch. The connection is back but the service is still in limp mode as data is really slow.

wouldn't it ask for an unlock code automatically if it was locked? I know on Android it does that, don't know about iOS.

Just called Rogers again and they say it is unlocked.

what phone are you using? is it compatible with the pm network?
