Please read the entire sentence before responding and please do not paste in a copy of the questions. Everybody here is presumably literate and can read the questions in this (and subsequent, if necessary) messages.
There are a few problems with the Instant Top Up Payments which I have encountered repeatedly. The most challenging is that, after asking at twelve retailers, only one cashier knew about it or if it is available, let alone how to sell and activate it.
In order to make an informed decision about what is the best (for my situation) way for me to pay for the Public Mobile plan each month (each thirty day service period, that is), PM needs to provide some answers about how this payment method works.
Please just refer to each question by number, rather than repeating each question before your respond.
1) Is the amount available for the customer to pay to the account limited to the same amounts available for payment vouchers, or can the customer choose the exact value; based on what is how much is on the account already? For example, if there is $4 on the PM account from a prior payment voucher, the customer only needs to add $16 if the “monthly” plan cost is $20.
2) Is there a so-called “convenience fee” (or some other kind of extra charge) added at the cash register to the transaction amount, as there is when a prepaid payment voucher is bought?
3) If the answer to question # 2 is “yes”, how much does that extra charge cost for each Instant Top Up payment?
4) Does the customer have to have the Public Mobile phone with her/him (at the store) to add the Instant Top Up Payment to the PM account?
5) When a customer buys a prepaid payment voucher, (s)he gets a receipt with a p. i. n. (or activation code) on it and that proves it was paid for and how much was paid for. What proof does a customer get (from a cashier) to prove and Instant Top Up Payment was bought and how much it was for (the amount to be added to the account)?
6) How can a customer confirm at the store (before departing) that the Instant Top Up Payment was added to one’s PM account (and the phone service is now “active”)?
7) What can a customer do if the payment is not accepted by PM and service is not instantly resumed (if it was suspended) or continued?
#8) Does the customer earn PM customer loyalty points for payment with the Instant Top Up method?
We sincerely hope everybody (who celebrates it) had a great and pleasant Thanksgiving Supper and was able to enjoy their feast with family and friends.
Thank you very much to anybody who can help by providing clear answers to the aforementioned questions and clear, step by step instructions about how to buy and add to one’s PM account an Instant Top Up Payment and, of course, continue service on the phone. Your help is very much appreciated, as always.

currently, not too many stores/site has instant topup. I think only Canadian Tire Gas and Muskbird.com
1. they have their set amount
2. yes, extra fees
3. depends on the merchants, it is not a fees collected by Public Mobile
4. yes, as instant topup added money to the account directly
5. you will get a receipt too
6 if it is a store, you should wait and check before you leave. If it is site, you might have to open ticket with them after if any issue
7. this can be an issue with the merchant, check with them first. If they insist it is a Public Mobile issue, you have to submit ticket and ask Public mobile
Honest, since there is an extra fees involved, unless you are in need to resume service urgently, I think it is still better to stay with the no-fees vouchers topup instead

Simple answer is a top-up is withdrawn from your registered CC (AutoPay). The amount will cover the amount of your plan plus all taxes and 911 fee if it applies in your province. The withdrawal happens the day before your renewal date and will remain as a credit in top-up. There are no fees for this service.
If you prefer using vouchers. You will need login to your account and disable Subscribe (AutoPay for top-up). You will need to purchase the amount including all taxes and 911 fee if it applies in your province. You need to redeem the voucher by dialing 611 and enter the voucher number and PIN prior to renewal date for uninterrupted service. If you pay a few days in advance. The amount will remain in your account as credit. The voucher is your receipt.
There are no service fee if you purchase them from these locations:

If you want to purchase vouchers online from a third party then there is a service fee.
