We all dream of all systems working and when they don't that they're promptly fixed. You've done everything right that you can. You just have to wait for the mods. Their responses can be up to 48 hours. I hope you included all your identifying numbers to minimize the back and forth delays of identity verification.
Unfortunately, changing your plan once expired needs the mod. As you found and did. Another method would be to renew your prior plan and then future change it at your next renewal.
The best method would be to set up the future plan change for the renewal while everything's all active.
