My phone is new and now know it's a USA model. It shows a good 4g connection but will not call out or receive calls.

Have read that Telus locks out some IMEI's

After many different attempts it still shows strong Lte connection and will ring phoning out but after someone answers nothing, same on incoming calls I answer then nothing. LG V30 model LG-US998. Never had trouble with other USA unlocked phones. I think it's not registered correctly to PB-Telus. The APN is correct. Thanks

@diger  was it used in another Canadian provider before?  If so, which one?

You said you got it from USA?  you just got it?  As the seller where the phone he got it from and ask him to arrange unlock code

@diger  - services works in your old phone without issue when you move the SIM card into it? If so, can you contact the provider of the phone and check if this is locked in anyway?

Sometimes LG's need a Factory reset for services to work (remember to back up anything you may need first, if you do this though).

But prior to do this, try a Network reset.

Find and tap Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset network settings.

In the USA, they still practice carrier locking phones. There is a high likelyhood that the phone will only work on T-mobile, AT&T, Verizon or Sprint.

Checked not blacklisted. Old $25 plan. Called 611 and tell me all about my account

@diger

Public Mobile (Telus) will not lock an IMEI.

But they will disallow blacklisted devices from using the network. If the device has been registered as lost/stolen/hacked/etc then and Telus won't let it do anything on their network other emergency calls.

It is possible, especially if you aren't the original owner. But it seems more likely that the device is carrier-locked (to a USA provider) or that it is not properly configured.

@diger   if a phone is blacklisted you  you will ususlly get unregistered message on the phone.

you can try searchin the blacklist for your imei.

what plan are you one?  a limited 10 or 15 dollar plan or a higer priced plan.    does your data work?
