Galaxy S26 setup

Hi

I'm trying to set up my new S26 and I can't proceed without either an esim or sim card. I'd rather use an esim  but it seems I need the app installed to do so.  There is no option to move forward with the phone set up if I don't have a Sim  

Suggestions?

It is a Samsung policy to setup the phone with an active sim card.   

As a workaround, you can borrow a sim card from a friend to complete the device setup tirst, set Google account and Samsung account on the phone.  After that is set, you can remove the sim card and download PM app from app store and login and  buy eSIM
