First auto-pay reward doubled?

RobertQc

It has been brought to my attention here that our first auto-pay reward (on first renewal) is supposed to be doubled (only once). Apparently the first credit for auto-pay should be either $4 (30 days) or $12 (90 days). I have not experienced this, nor do any of the accounts I manage. They have all received either $2 or $6.

Was this changed at some point or is there a glitch I don't know about in the system that is not giving everyone that credit?

Edit- So probably I have been screwing up at the activation process and enabling auto-pay after the fact.

@NDesaiLooks like it was a ID 10 T error (Idiot I am) I clearly failed during the activation processes.

I enabled autopay during activation and received $2 autopay credit right away for the first 30 days cycle.  Then, autopay reward for every renewal.  This approach makes sense.  If you don't enable autopsy during activation, you will not get the autopsy reward for the first cycle.

I am not with PM long enough to know other way.

I have seen this mentioned before but I have never been so lucky to get triple auto pay reward on the first renewal.  I do always get what I am supposed to get for auto pay.

Going off topic a bit, right now the oddity I am experiencing with an account is referral rewards being lower than the actual referral count.  It is off by one so it is not the end of the world.  The last time I had problems with referral rewards was with referrals not showing up in the account.  It took a lot of effort for that to be straightened out by the back office.  For a time, the referral count went to zero and so I am not going to risk seeing that happen again.

Robert, that has not been my experience.  In accounts that I have started fairly recently, I always got $2 posted to the account on the same day as account activation.  Then on the next renewal day, I get another $2 posted in the account just ahead of payment for renewal.  So, there is "double" auto pay reward on first renewal.

As part of the activation process, I always choose to use auto pay.  I am wondering if the payout may change if the auto pay option is rejected during activation and then selected after completing activation.  I have never done this and so I have no data point share.

@will13amInteresting... So maybe I have been screwing up at the activation process and enabling auto-pay after the fact. If so I cost a handful of people $2 / $6 including myself. Not a big deal but I have clearly been informing people incorrectly saying you lose the first auto-pay reward.

I have another activation to do in a couple days so I will attempt this again, properly. (Hopefully my next batch of sim cards from eBay arrive before the deadline otherwise I have to take my chances at walmart... *shivvers*)

Thanks @stonechucker for bringing this to my attention in that post.

Edit- And @mimmo @ShawnC13 for replying.

I have the same experience as @will13am, and select it at activation.  I agree with his thoughts on if you do it after that you won't get the credit for the first month as it wasn't active when you selected the plan therefore you aren't eligible for it as your Plan for the first cycle won't get the autopay discount.

@RobertQc, as @will13am has just described, that is how it worked for me.  Because you don't get the first AutoPay on the first cycle, it's credited as available funds.  However, the credit is $2 or $6 depending on cycle length.

It works out as a double credit on cycle number two.
