Just signed up and my phone is continuously dropping service and every day it is getting worse. Is this a defective SIM card issue?

Can you try sim in a different phone? Isolates hardware vs sim/ account issue.

What is the signal strength on your phone when the drop calls occured?
Is your phone configure to use auto/3G/LTE?

Hi and welcome.
When you say dropping service are you seeing "No Service" randomly or is there a particular part of your service no working, text, calls or data?
Are you near the edge of the coverage map?
What carrier were you with prior?
What plan do you have?
