Downgrade plan

Hi, I'm on the $40 100gb plan, I'll be away from North America for several months/years and I'm looking to hold my number by using the $20 plan. It isn't available as on option when I try to change. Options?

downgrade is possible, but downgrade to $20 is not a choice

if you are going way for close to a year, it is better to port out to a VoIP carrier , like Fongo.  Port in fess is $25 but free if you port out after 3 months

if you are not going away for too long.  you can choose to suspend the plan for 90 days.  if 90 days not enough, some people will come back at 80th days, renew for a month, then they can suspend for another 90 day after that

once you have a higher value plan with PM, it's not easy to downgrade...especially to that $20 plan. You could use the services of Numberbarn to store your number while away...then you can get a new Public Mobile account when you get back and transfer that number back to your new account.
