Data

I noticed there's no plans with unlimited data. Sounds xxxxxxxxxx, but I work at a place that has no wireless. I have the best plan with public mobile $120 every 3 mo.. been adding data here and there to keep me afloat but it's costing.

Just wondering how come there's no unlimited data plan and what's the best out there

@sfisher

Keep in mind this method of activating a "data" plan works best over the holidays but CCS does offer the stacking free third month credit and 5gb data add on every few months you just wouldn't be able to time the double the "More is merrier" freebies. CCS does alternate it's 20% discount activation bundles from one to three months and sometimes offers 20% off vouchers bought at activation so there are ways to save more money if you pay up front. The most important factor is ordering an activation bundle to sit on until those stackable offers become available usually for a 3 day period. Here is my post from just after the introduction of Public Points.....

If you really want to keep your grandfathered plan and you have an old phone that you could use as hotspot or a dual sim phonet. hen with some pre-planning and a little luck and good timing you can activate extra "data" account on the cheap by promo stacking that you reactivate the plan every 88/89 days to supplement your plan data as you run low in the last 30 days of your 90 day plan. The points program actually works in your favour for the new account.....now you're the second member today I have made this suggestion that I will have to dig up my post on how to do this...lol!

Freedom has some large data plans less than the big 3 - but they have issues with network reliability and I think PM is superior in that regard. It really depends on how much data you use monthly and to weigh the factors over various plans and options.

@sfisher

You may have full speed 4G LTE data or you may have 4G LTE throttled 3mbps often referred to 3G data. Most customers find very little difference between full speed and throttled speed unless they stream HD video or view high resolution images. While you would have to say goodbye to your 90 day plan a possible higher data speeds scheduling a change plan on next renewal to a current in market plan would avail you with more data even if you are on the fall 2016 promo of $120/12gb/90 days. The $40 plan has 5gb of data with autopay so at least 1gb of more data per 30 days (averaged for a the 90 day plan) and for $10 more per month the $50 plan has 10.5gb plus unlimited US calling. You will also be free to change plans every 30 days if you anticipate your mobile data usage going up or down for your upcoming cycle But remember once you change plans from a grandfathered plan there is no going back.

@sfisher , the higher (unlimited) data plans are reserved for the tier 1 brands.  Public Mobile is tier 3 flanker brand that caters to customers seeking value rather than big gig data plans.  I have the same plan as you.  For what you get it is great value.  Let's not forget about the rewards.
