Data useage

I am showing that I have 792 MB of data left but I have no cellular service. Why?

SMS and MMS? or both?

I ask because MMS specifically requires data

Well that's cellular service 🙂

Is this a recent problem? Was it working before some change? Are you subscribed to both of those services? Can you do straight text texting (no picture)? Send? Receive?

Verify APN settings for data and the MMSC url for texting in data.

Text message are sent and received using the voice channel.  Therefore, text message does not need data and cannot be sent by WiFi.

Are you using an iPhone?

Is your PM plan include data?

If yes, you need to setup APN.
