Data service is pretty bad when travelling from Clarkson GO station towards Union Station while travelling in GO train especially in the morning. I used a Iphone 6S which shows that its connected to 3G network. But the service is really slow. If i try to google a page from Clakson it will complete loading the page when the train passed Mimico station, which is almost 10 minutes. #G should be faster than this for sure..

As long as you've tried both technologies, do what works for you.
Personally I've found 3G becomes completely unusable at cell edge, whereas LTE is much better in poor signal conditions.

In my week of experience with the plan so far, what I suggest to use is anything but 4G LTE mode on your phone.
The reason why I say this is because I have noticed speeds drop as low as 200KB/s down during the day but the ping staying consistently 20-30ms. It does ocasionally hit the max ocasionally at 384KB/s but doesn't stay there.
3G on the other hand, I notice a consistent min of 800KB/s down and the ping being just 10ms greater at 30-40ms. I've noticed it reach up to 1.7MB/s but again it's not consistent in the top end.
These speeds are noticed when watching fights on UFC Fight Pass on Android.

I find coverage along the lake quite challenging. I work near the lake and there's lots of coverage holes in the building. In many areas, speed is pretty slow even on LTE. On 3G, it can go into stall.

Do you have LTE enabled on your phone? LTE should perform better.
