My data keeps turning off after I have been on wifi for a while. It comes on after I power off the phone and then on again. Do I need a new SIM card?

From my understanding, there’s no need for a new SIM card. Data turning off after Wi-Fi use is a common iPhone bug with network handoff, not the SIM. Assuming this is an iPhone.
some Quick Fixes:
Turn off Wi-Fi Assist: Settings > Cellular > scroll to bottom > Wi-Fi Assist off.
Disable Low Data Mode: Settings > Wi-Fi > tap (i) on network > Low Data Mode off.
Toggle Airplane Mode on/off for 30 seconds after leaving Wi-Fi.
Reset Steps:
Restart phone. If persists, reset network settings: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Network Settings (clears Wi-Fi passwords).
Test data only (Wi-Fi off) to confirm.
Otherwise: PM CS_Agent https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

No you don’t need a new SIM.
I have the issue on my old iPhone 8. It takes some time to connect to data when I am not near my modem.
Reset the Network setting on your phone and reboot your phone. After resetting, you will need to re-enter the password for your wifi.

hi @Iguazu
this only happens when you were on Wifi for awhile? this could be a device setup issue, likely Power Saver settings and likely not a PM problem
