I have two separate accounts with public mobile. In the last two months my primary device has run through all 5 GB of data in about 10 days. Ive been with public mobile for around 8-10 years and NEVER run through all my data. My job hasnt changed, I haven't moved. Ive been cut off the last two months after ten days.
Second phone is a mobile I use for my business. Now this business is very fledgling and there is no one to call/text and we surf on your regular phones not this one. We take it to work and home all of which have wifi. Got the notification yesterday we've used 75% of data. We've had that line for over a year and never used even a GB of data never mind almost all of it.
Can someone please tell me what is going on.

make sure to disable data to any apps you don't use on a regular basis. Also, disable Wifi Assist in the cellphone settings.

To add- my usage had also increased. I found it helpful to reduce the resolution of pictures and video clips I sent. However downloading clips sent to me is out of my control.

HI @Megnarium1
it is weird why the Chrome show up there. Chrome must have been used somehow.
and you have update the cycle start date to the current Public Mobile cycle start date (remember PM cycle date changes, you need to login My Account to check)
Yes, if in doubt, I suggest you to delete Chrome. And take a screenshot of what app used the data and you can compare it after
on iPhone, it won't automatically start new statistics for new data cycle, so you need to Reset it every so often for it to be useful

Thank you! My personal account is an android and my work phone is a. iPhone so I'll check that one after.
On the android I've used 2.5 GB of data on chrome. But I use opera as my web browser and to my knowledge chrome isn't ever Open. Are you able to make any suggestions for me? Should I just delete chrome?

HI @Megnarium1
PM data tracking is generally accurate
best way is to check on your phone to see why data goes fast. Maybe some OS download, or Cloud backup.
if you are using an Android, there is a data usage screen you can check for usage. Settings->Connections->Data Usage. You can change the date to match the start date of your current cycle
if you are using iPhone, you will have to go to the data usage screen to reset Statistics (Settings->Cellualar->Reset Statistics) and start tracking after the data is reset
