Data active but what's up app does not work.

Hello, I have an Iphone 4s receently in Public Mobile.

I have the cellphone data acive but when I try to use what'sup is searching data but gets no connection. I have been trying different things but no success.

I apreciate any help on this topic.

Make sure the 3G button is not on, it happened to me once and all I had to do was turn it off and it worked fine after!

I've encountered a similar issue before.

I've deleted the app, then reinstalled it. It started working again after that.

Could the issue possibly have to do with the app being incompatible with the older phone.  The iPhone 4s is pretty old.

Does Whatsapp work when you're connected to WiFi?

Have you tried soft resetting your phone (press and hold power + home button for 10 seconds)? 

Can you try resetting your network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords)?
