Data Connection Drops

Do others have issues with the connection dropping all the time? It’s really annoying. Happens frequently these past few days.

if you do decide to switch. try chatr they have monthly plans and I never had any issues when I was with them

Can you try your SIM card into another compatible phone to see if services are the same?

Perform a Reset of your device's Network Settings.

This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

Iphone:

To Reset Network Settings, begin by opening the Settings app. Next, tap General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. and enter your passcode.

Your iPhone will reset network settings and restart itself.

android:

Find and tap Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset network settings.

Check you Cellular Network and see if it is set on 3G.

Tried but did not work. What a crap service. Will start looking for another to switch to.

It's a long-shot...but shut down phone and remove sim for a moment. Reinstall sim and start phone. See if that helps.

If you have a dual sim phone..try the sim in the other sim slot.

Has this been chronic for days, weeks or months ?

edit..what part of Alberta ? No report of major outages in most areas of AB.

In Ontario ? Could be related to repairing storm damage.

@ljeanner hi are you in the area effected by the tornado storm a few weeks ago? some of the towers are still having issues
