Does a public mobile subscriber have the option of down grading from a voice text and data plan to the $19 per month voice and text only plan?

@Cavendish You might be interested in a current Telus promotion, $100 for the year, unlimited Canada calling, texting and 2GB of data a month. Works out to $8.33 a month but you pay the year upfront. It reverts to 400 mins + 400 texts and no data after the year but you may find something you like here as a new subscriber then.

yes, you are allowed to downgrade. But you cannot downgrade to any plan you want. the option is based on your current plan and not everyone has the same

Hello @Cavendish
When you open the app, when you click on change subscription, what you see there is what you can get. Sadly, for a prepaid service, you don't get the option to downgrade. Only option is to port out and port back in to keep your number.

When you sign into my account and click subscription & add ons then click change subscription, the plans you see are the only ones you able to switch to.
https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca/en/account/plan/change-plan
if you find a plan you want to switch from then click change on renewal so that you are not immediately charged for new plan.
