I moved ladtbyear from Ontario to BC, and want to change my phone number to an area code 250 number. I want to select my own phone number, which I have found to be available. How do I do this? When I try to change my number, I only get computer generated numbers. Can anyone help?

You can ask the support agents if they might be willing/able to accommodate your specific number request, but no guarantees.
To contact a Customer Support Agent, there are 2 methods:
Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.

You can only select the area code you wish but you use your old 7 digit number.
You can only pick numbers that are available on PM selection of numbers.

For a Public number, all you can do is keep refreshing the numbers to see if one you like pops up. There's no way to select one you like.
Tell us the next 3 digits after 250 (not the last four) and we can tell you who owns it. If it's not Telus then you would have to start up with whoever the provider is that owns it.
