Change subscription plan

if I change my subscription plan now, even if it has just been renewed, I would lose the funds I just paid for the current plan yesterday?

yes, if you use "Change Now" option to make the plan change on your My Account > Change Subscription page

So, if you don't want to lose the money on the current cycle but you want to locked down a plan you like, use "Change on Renewal" option instead
