Cannot use international text

Hi my plan includes unlimited international text, but I couldn’t use it recently.  I have used it last month and it worked. Please help to find out why I cannot use this function currently. Thanks a lot!

Thank you, @Anonymous, And yes I have tried using 011 instead of a + (I came across the same Telus page).

In my case, the international texting hasn't worked since I switched to PM.

I haven't approached a Mod yet, I'll first look into how it works with PM Mods (I'm unfamiliar with the system right now).

Thank you.

Well you shoulda dealt with it earlier. Now they have this ridiculous chatbot thing in that question mark balloon in the lower right where you have to fiddle around with finding just the right unpredictable keywords to finally get a form to send them. They call it a ticket now. Not just simply a private message to them. It's different now with the form.

Anybody who has a potential solution I can try? My international texting (sending a SMS / text message from Canada to an international cell phone number) is still not working.

Same error message (Message Send Failure) on my iPhone SE as the screenshot I posted above.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

A few of these problems have come along in the last few weeks. I never hear any resolution afterwards.

Have the mods done anything for you in all this time?

The only thing I would think of is maybe try 011 instead of +.

Edit: interestingly, I DDG'd this topic and found a Fido page that mentions the +. Then I found a similar Telus page that says to use 011. So maybe they do things differently.

Yes, I did add +63, and it was always working with my Fido. Same contact, same number. Thank you.

@ropin0320  Is your iMessage configured to use SMS?

Is it a philippnes number? did you add +63 in front of the number?

Hello, I am a new Public Mobile user (30-day cycle coming up in a few days).

The number was ported from Fido.

An issue I've been having is about sending out international texts.

I tried sending texts to a cell phone number in the Philippines, which is a verified active cell phone number, but the text doesn't get sent, see attached.

I can send texts to Canadian numbers no problem.

Phone is an iPhone SE (purchased from Fido, unlocked now and it obviously works with my PM SIM so far).

Any suggestion how to solve this?

also I would suggest sending some local mms that will help isolate network vs hardware issues.  I have also notices occasianlly mms woudl stop working for a day or so then start again.  how long has the issue been happening.  also does your phone say message not sent or is it just that the other party does not get it.

have you tried a different sms application?

sorry for the various options, but as mentioned,  with not much to go by it is hard to troubleshoot.

The international text function definitely works.  If there was any network related problem, there would be screams from many customers.  So I would think the problem is isolated to possible a problem with software on the phone.  Definitely a more detailed description of the issue including from where the text message is originating and to where it is being sent, phone model, software on phone used for texting would be useful to assist with the troubleshooting.

Can you provide some more details, please?

Included international texts means you are sending a message from Canada to a destination abroad.

If you want to send text messages from the US you need a US roaming add-on. Your Public Mobile SIM will not connect to any network outside of Canada and the US.
