I recently transferred to a different service provider but now I am unable to log into my Public Mobile self serve account. I wanted to log into ensure that my service is cancelled and that I will not be charged. How can I check that my old service is cancelled?

Porting out automatically closes your account. If you left your payment card on your account you may want to monitor your transactions on what would have been your next renewal just in case there is a payment glitch and your card gets charged.
