@Mlissatootoo- Are you Nancydavison? Definitions can get a little hazy and cross-over.

I define pay as you go (PAYG) as like having a bucket of money in the account that gets drawn down for each call and text and MB. Then the bucket needs to be re-filled when low. This place doesn't work that way.

I define prepaid as paying up front for the use of those services. If the service is limited, like data, then the service stops until you buy more. That's this place.

I define postpaid as paying up front for the use of those services but if the services are limited and you wish to use more then at the next bill you get charged that usage (overages) plus the new month. This is the kind of bill most people have with a provider which also often comes with paying down a device in addition to the services and overages.

@Mlissatootoo

What @iliketotalk is saying that a Pay As You Go plan is when you get charged for the amount of talk/text minutes and data at end of the month. The amount will change each month.

Whereas, PM is a Prepaid plan base on fixed the amount talk/text minutes and data each month (30 days). If you go over the allowable minutes and data, you phone will not work unless you purchase Add-ons for additional minutes or data for your phone to continue working.

I think I explained this correctly but other members will correct me if I am wrong.

What do you mean there is no pay as you go? I’ve been on pay as you go since I came to public mobile?

@Nancydavison

Did you port over from another carrier’s pay as you go to PM prepaid plan?

PM is a prepaid plan.

Could you give more detail so we can help?

So you came from another provider? Can you dial 611? Are any services working here? You could buy a voucher and enter it in 611. You could also use the instant top-up service.

@Nancydavison are you talking about Public Mobile?  Can you explain what did you change yesterday?  or you ported your number away?  If you ported away, your account would be closed once the port is completed.
