Cannot call a 343 number from PM phone

I cannot call a 343 number, which is the new Ottawa area code. I get a message telling me to check the number and try again. The number is valid, and they can call me. My wife, whose phone is also with PM, has the same problem. We both have 613 numbers, so it should be a local call.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I did put a 1 in front of the number.  I will try opening a ticket to get this resolved.

we occasionally see reports about trouble calling 343

 did you out a 1 in front of the 10 digits number?

if issues persists, likely a issue in the system side, please open ticket with PM. support by messaging here:
