I was attempting to transfer my number today, but with the app being down the whole day and all the posts about issues with activating, I'd like to cancel and get a refund for my payment if possible.

@spider2x , sorry. Unfortunately , yes you need to use the app to activate an account but can use the website to transfer a phone number later if you don’t do it at the same time. I didn’t know if you or @maggie_mae successfully activated previously & just needed to transfer the phone numbers now.

It will not let me activate through a browser, it forces me to resume activating by directing me to the app store and downloading the app.

@maggie_mae , are you able to login to your My Account on the browser?
Edit: If you’re able login to your My Account using your browser you can transfer your phone # into Public Mobile there. Make sure to leave your old SIM card in your phone & respond yes to the text to authorize the port within 90 minutes of receiving the text message.

@maggie_mae , I wonder if they are still working on the Android version then! My phone is an iPhone. Sorry 😞

Android still has 2.4.4 while iPhone has 2.4.5
but i can access My Account without issue with the versions above on Android and iOS, no problem at all

I just uninstalled and reinstalled now and it's the same version. I'm on Android, Samsung S23 Ultra if that helps. It's still giving me the maintenance message when logging in

I just uninstalled and downloaded a fresh, a copy of the app from the google play store and I am still getting old version 2.4.4, so the new version has not been updated on the play store for android.

Hi, how long ago did you reinstall the app? There a new update to the app as of 5 hours ago. Version 2.4.5 The maintenance is done.
I was able to login to the app as of 1 minute ago. Please try again.

there is no login issue at this moment. If you have trouble logging in, it is an account problem, not the system. But it is good PM is working on your case already

It would be nice if they posted some kind of update on the maintenance, I subscribed today aswell and cannot log in yet to port my number. I talked to the chat agent and they said about 20 min but it's almost been 2 hours.

It keeps saying it's under maintenance. Uninstalled and reinstalled many times. It worked very early this morning when I was going to bed but that was about it. I haven't been able to use it all day. Very unfortunate but stuff happens

you probably out of luck. PM is prepaid and all prepaid provider do not provide any kind of refund
of course, you likely still want to try. You can ask PM. Simply open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. (For 2FA code when login, use email to receive code instead of SMS if you cannot receive the text on the phone.) When open Chatbot ticket, Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen
But if you have trouble using Chatbot to open ticket, then message PM using this link:

PM is a prepaid carrier and they do not refund for situation like that
and the app wasn't down. I used it yesterday. It could have been down late at night last night, but yesterday was good during the day
