log in to your Public Mobile account and disable Subscribed (autopay). When next renewal fails, the account is suspended for 90 days before being deactivated for good.
If you wish to keep your number with a different provider, when you create your new account you can request your PM number be transferred to new provider. At that time, your PM account is automatically deactivated.
