Can I call the US for free while in Canada with the Canada/US wide minutes or is it only if I’m in the US?

It’s from Canada so you can call to the US. If you have a Canada-US phone plan then you’re able to do both.

You can.  All calls to the US and Canada are covered regardless of whether you are in the US or Canada.
