Can’t send a massage without data.

Why in order to send a massage to some numbers I need my data on and for other numbers I can send massages without it?
I have the same issue with receiving massages.

just use Send as Text Message when it stuck for no mobile data

On iPhone:

  1. tap the Settings app,
  2. scroll down to Message, then tap Messages,
  3. turn  iMessage off by toggling the iMessage switch to the right from green to grey.

Alternatively, when sending an iMessage to someone who doesn't subscribe to iMessage (or cannot receive at the time), hold on the recent iMessage you typed which will be blue in color, then tap the line item that reads "Send as a Text Message".

The message will then turn from blue to green indicating it is now being sent as a SMS message.

@Igor122 - you can leave iMessage on. Perform the following steps to try and fix the issue:

  1. Connect to the internet using WiFi or Data.
  2. Go to Settings > Messages and toggle iMessage OFF.
  3. Turn your iPhone off completely, then turn it back on.
  4. Go back into Settings > Messages and toggle iMessage ON.
  5. Make sure “Send as SMS” is also turned ON.

Hi @Igor122 no need to turn off iMessage.  You want to keep that option as your friends likely using iMessage

When you see the message not sent out, just click and hold the message bubble that you just sent. A menu with a few different methods will populate.
Select Send as Text Messag

Both iMessage and Chat Features require a wifi connection or data to send/receive texts.

  • if iMessage and you are out of data for your current cycle be sure to have SMS and MMS enabled in the settings of your device.
  • if you are using android and you use Chat Features, then I suggest you turn that off, as it requires wifi or data to send/receive texts.

Disable your Chat Features:

  1. Open Messages
  2. Tap More options > Settings > Chat features
  3. Turn Enable chat features off

@Igor122  Go to phone settings / message and toggle off iMessage
