I just bought a SIM card and went to create an account but can't because my phone number is already on record. I have never used Public Mobile or created an account before. How can i go about and creating an account?

Did you set your self service account? You could do so while waiting for the mods to port your number .https://selfserve.publicmobile.ca/self-registration/

Thank everyone, I am coming over from Koodo prepaid. I have selected a new number and sent the modteam an email.

You may want to choose new temporary number and then transfer your phone number
Are you by any chance with Koodo prepaid?

@Vocoloco are you trying to bring/port your number over from a Koodo prepaid account? You need moderator help to accomplish this. Use @NDesai 's link to activate your SIM using a temporary cell phone number. Create your self service account. This gives you an opportunity to test your SIM and creates a safety net in case something goes wrong with the port. Then contact the moderators to port your number.
Click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen . This connects to the autobot Simon . Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one ( CLICK on account specific question and human and submit a ticket )
