Can't receive incoming calls

mrslyker
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

I'm unable to text or call certain numbers and some numbers I can call, are unable to call me in return. It goes straight to a voicemail but not the Public Mobile voicemail service. Considering that I'm able to text and call certain numbers, I ruled out the possibillity of my number not being ported properly or my account not being activated. I did receive two seperate text messages saying saying my new PIN is ****. The numbers provided are two different PIN numbers, one being the one i chose during registration, the other a differnt PIN.

Please help me get this resolved. Thank you.

Good morning @mrslyker,

thank you for reaching out to us !

If you've recently ported your number, being unable to receive calls/texts is a "symptom" of a failed port. Either way, please send us a private message and we will be more than happy to looking into it 😃

Cheers,

Mary

This is exactly where my sister was at last night.  She ported her number from Koodo. We contacted a moderator, and they had it sorted within the hour!

This definitely sounds like a port that has not completed yet.  If these symptoms persist in the morning then it is likely the port is stuck.  In that case, the moderator team should be contacted to resubmit the port.  The moderator team can be reached via private message using this link.  Refer to the following link for information on contacting the moderator team.

Reading your post I'll assume that you did just activate and port your number over to PM.  You are experiencing a phone that is in the middle of the porting process, and typical port-in can take between 5 min to 2 hours to complete.  You will receive a text from PM advising you that the porting process is complete.  At that time your old SIM card will cease functioning and you should be off and rolling - not to worry.

Welcome to PM.
