How is a person to confirm for full access? Ported a number from bell, bell cut it off immediately so no sms ability, now PM wants me to confirm full access and they are sending a text to the ported number. Only thing, that number can not receive texts as service isn't active. What the hell?

Live agent told me nothing. Just said to contact Bell for support. It's not Bella I need support with it's public mobile. Bell has already ported the number and close the account and said everything is complete on their end as I checked in with them this morning. I'm needing to get full access and they're supposed to send me a code to my phone but how can I send a code to my phone if the texting and data isn't operational

HI @Tay_rayne1
try reboot your phone with the PM sim card, it should work already now and you should be able to receive inbound calls and text. If you can receive inbound text, you should be able to get the Confirm Full Access text now.
if you can receive inbound calls and text but not that confirm full access text, then message support agent to submit a ticket here

Hey @Tay_rayne1 !
I had the same issue earlier this year. I wasn’t able to receive verification/ 2F messages after number was ported from previous service provider. It took a lot of back and forth/ trial & error to figure this one out, so hopefully I can help make this a bit easier for you…
I ended up having to contact my old carrier (call customer support - actually they called me back after online chat) in order to get the information I needed to provide Public. Which consisted of:
Then, you will have to get your old carrier to temporarily reactivate and re-do the porting process. That was my experience, and I did have to pay for subscription renewal, but depending on who you’re connected with, hopefully the transition will be easier and free.
Hope this helps! 🙂
