I have a Public Mobile SIM card that I'm trying to activate, and I've walked through the setup multiple times now only to have the website freeze or to receive a generic error message saying something went wrong. None of my information appears to be saved, as I can't log in with my email address, and I have to retype all the information more than once. I've tried a couple web browsers, and am now trying in Chrome...but it has obviously saved SOME of the information that I've input, because now when I try to set up it won't accept either of the SIM cards that I've tried to activate. HELP!

Wait one hour and then activate. A failed activation will lock out sim number for short period.

@mabinogi wrote:Well, that allowed me to enter the SIM card...but now it's telling me that my old number from Bell can't be ported, probably because I've made multiple attempts already and the info has actually been saved somewhere in the system. Argh! I'd rather not choose a new number if I don't have to.
I would choose a new number with public mobile and later when everything is set up I would ask for the transfer in my self-serve account..but keep in mind that your Bell number need to be active to do that.

I ran into this activiating my account as well. I ended up just going to wow! booth at the mall. An old fashioned solution, I know, but it worked.

@mabinogi I ran into a similar problem when I first signed up. I was using Chrome, cleared my browsing data, tried again and I was able to login. Probably won't be the solution, but you can always try while you wait for a Mod to get back to you if you want!
