You are right. I am new to PM and forgot about the old plans as I am just educated on the new plans.

@Sofiaelisabeth You're forgetting if someone has old plan with province wide calls. They would need long distance add-on to call another province.

Yes, it is a Canada wide service provider!

Canada-wide minutes are not required to receive any phone calls (assuming that you have unlimited calling), nor are they required to call within the same province. A Caanda-wide calling plan is also not necessary for either data or text messaging services.

I believe all newer plans include Canada wide calling so yes you can use your phone outside of ONTARIO in any part of Canada that receives service.
If you are on an older plan that is provincial calling then you would need to get a long distance add on.

Yes within Canada
If you have province only calling, then you can call any number from the province you happen to be in at the moment. To call back to Ontario if you don't have Canada wide calling you can get $5 add-on, but if you have Canada wide calling you can call from anywhere with Telus network to anywhere in Canada

@Zfrank29 if you are on one of the Canada wide plans and within Canada you can at no additional cost. Dial a 1 in front of the numbers. Log into your self service account and check your plan section to verify this. If on a grandfathered provincial plan, buying a 500 minute $5 add on will allow you to do it. Stay safe.
