My plan has unlimited Canada wide calls. Does that mean I can not make any calls to the US? I made one call yesterday and today I get the message that I have used up all my time. I make very few calls outside Canada.

Unless the customer wishes to make calls to the countries in the list of calling destinations included with the international long distance calling add-on, I would advise against make that purchase. The international calling add-on cannot be used to call the United States.

Current PM plans do not have free US calls. If you managed to place a call to US either you are on some old grandfathered plan having US calls included or you did have some add-on (either purchased of bonus form PM).
To call US you need US add-on...

Well yes Canada-wide means Canada-wide...not to the US. Are you saying you did call the US yesterday but now it won't? Did you have any freebies from prior years? Are you on the $15 (or even older now $13) plan? If so then if you use all your limited minutes and you do have those freebies then you will start to consume those freebie minutes. So maybe now after all this time you've used all of those minutes.

@BIRDcan hi you would need to buy the 1000 minute US add on to call the states but if you were here for the free long distance add ons at Christmas you can use them also
