I purchased a sim card , activated it , installed in phone but can not make calls. Phone shows sim card as a network public mobile

if the phone shows connected to PM, then the account was setup properly

what phone do you have? does mobile data work?

try Reboot phone and Reset network settings

so you selected a new number ? And paid for your plan...right ?

Try a network reset to see if that helps.
