Call Forwarding - When Unreachable

WinkNudgeNudge
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Hiya folks,

Oh my Samsung phone I activated the Call Forwarding - Forward When Unreachable to a VoIP number. I go to a cottage which has terrible cell service but I have Wifi and can use VoIP. I set the number and turn on Airplane mode to test it, but when I call my PM number it rings and eventually goes to my PM voicemail. Cam someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I don't want to forward all the time, but I guess if that's the only way to do it... <shrug>

@WinkNudgeNudge

You are using the conditional call forwarding which I have found to be sometimes flaky. Try turning off the airplane mode and see if that helps.

For me, I prefer to enable the unconditional call forwarding:    dial *21*[your ten digit number]#. To disable dial *21*.  Just enable before I leave the coverage area and disable when I return to the coverage area. It works for me even when I travel outside of Canada, using a free TextNow number.

Good luck.
