In the short list of phones that PM seems to support with Volte, one of them says it must be CWB4 or above.
What the heck does that mean? When I google it, it says something about refrigeration.
Thanks.

Sorry, your phone does not have the 1900 band on 3G, it won't work no matter what firmware you have
if you are just considering to buy the phone , avoid. This one won't work here for voice. Data won't work well either due to the lack of compatible 4G bands

OK. The person who is selling the phone has sent me the about About information and Firmware is NOT an option. Any idea where else to look for what you are talking about?

because the page with the VoLTE whitelist has A5x with CWB4 there
your A22 is not there, so , it is not a VoLTE phone compatible on this network
Also, A22 has only 850 but not 1900 for 3G. With PM moving away 850 on 3G for some area, your phone won't work here. So, you will have to buy a Canadian phone or change to other networks

Hi @Alice777
When you mention CWB4, the only firmware related to that is the Samsung A53 5G phone. When you go into your settings on the phone, go to About. There you will see the firmware. As long as it's CWB4 or above, this particular phone will work with Public Mobile.

The list is for phones certified to work on Volte. However, it is not an exhaustive list of the all phones that could work on the network. For example, Xiaomi and Redmi phones are not on the list but have reportedly worked on the network once Volte has been enabled in the settings. For some phones, volte is disabled by default. You need to Google to see how to enable Volte in your particular phone model and then test it on the network.
I believe CWB4 is a version of the Samsung A53 phone.
