where you are going? PM does not have roaming outside of US and Mexico. So, if you are going elsewhere, you won't get the OTP code anyway
when you are on trip, best to change the OTP from sms to using Authenticator app

you have to submit a ticket with CS agent to "talk" to them
but for your question, you can change to the cheapest plan you see on your My Account. You cannot change to other plans not on your My Account's change subscription page
but you can suspend service for 90 days, reactivate for 30 days and then suspend again for anther 90 days and keep doing it until you are back to save some money

You don’t need to contact a CS_Agent for this request.
You can pause your account for a maximum of 90 days so you don’t need to pay while you are away.
Simply login to your account on the PM app or online and go to Subscription tab and disable Subscribe for AutoPay. When you return just make a manual payment and enable subscribe to continue service.
You can also dial 611 or call 1-855-4PUBLIC to pause service.
If you are away longer than 90 days. You can enable service on the 87 or 88 days so you won’t loss your number.
Or you can check in your account for any lower plan but it is not available for all members. Go to Subscription>Manage Subscription>Change Subscription…it will list all plans you are eligible to change plans to.
