@Jo14 - which direction are you porting?
If you are leaving Public to another provider, then ensure your Public account is Active and let the new provider deal with all the porting aspects of the number transfer.
If you are coming over to Public and you missed the SMS text from the old provider, ensure you have the old provider's SIM card and ask to get the port request again by asking CSA.
