Hi all,
I will spend a few weeks in Canada and heard that public mobile might be a good option for me as I mainly need data to check my mails, use my phone for navigation and talk to my family via Skype.
Where do you have shops to buy a SIM in Halfiax? One at the airport?
Kind regards
Anne

Will go to a Walmart then. Hope they can also help to activate the SIM and tell me about the plans available.
I would find out the plans ahead of time. They are advertised on the website at https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/plans . I say to know exactly what you want ahead of time because the people who sell these plans at Walmart have very little incentive to sell you such (they also sell plans for other companies, while they likely make very little money from activation such low-cost budget priced Public Mobile plans). If you aren't specific, they will try to point you in another direction because of a higher commission-based sales structure for plans at the other carriers.

Public Mobile does not have stores. The whole idea of the company is that you do everything yourself online, and in most cases, order the sim card and have it mailed to you. Since Public Mobile will only mail a sim card to a Canadian address, that doesn't appear to be an option for you.
Sim cards can only be purchased at retail at a select few locations, the most of which are Walmart locations within Canada.

You should be able to get a SIM at a Walmart in Halifax.
Hope you have a nice time in Canada! 🙂
