Bought $20 Roaming Data, but was charged my autopay price of $120

I bought a roaming add-on because I was travelling to the states a few days ago. I was charged $120 + taxes and then the system used $20 for the add-on. I was never able to choose how much I wanted to charge to my account to "add credit" and it just automatically charged $120 (which is my autopay price). For my next autopayment, will it charge another $120 or will it use the $100 on my account and then charge the remainder? Otherwise, how can I go about getting this refunded?

The previous posts address the treatment of account funds.  As for how to avoid recurrence, next time go to add-on selection and try to purchase it. This will trigger a first step which will transfer the exact funds required to purchase the add-on.  Go back and complete the second step to apply the transferred funds to purchase the add-on.

AutoPay always uses available funds first then charges any remainder to credit card.

If your balance is $100 then it'll all get used up and $20 charged to credit card (for a $120 plan).

You'll also get AutoPay reward ($2 for 30 days, $6 for 90 days), plus any Community (and other) rewards you might have earned - but I'm uncertain whether these will be deducted from your ($120) plan cost before payment or whether they're added to your account balance afterwards (for future billing cycles).

@Dershivo,  Buying add-ons is a 2 step process.  Add funds to your account, and then purchase the add-on with the funds in the account.  When you were on the payment screen - to add funds to your account, are you sure you didn't, by mistake, select to pay your amount due (which likely would have been you plan amount), instead of another amount?

Regardless, you should send a private message to the moderators team, and explain your situation.  They might be able to do something for you.

That said, getting a credit could take a while.  On your next auto-payment, the extra funds in your account would be used up, and the remaining balance would be taken from your credit card.
