Got new iphone upgraded from SE to and SE 2nd generation.
Was with Koodo now with Public Mobile.
Got new SIM card
old iphone shows "no service" new iphone shows Public Mobile ( two bars)
Husband's phone (same phone SE 2nd gen) shows 3 bars for PM.
Here is what I see as the problem. My phone now works, for calls and messages,
it didn't do so for the first few days after the switch from Koodo to PM,
but new phone has no contracts and some of the apps are missing.
So is this an Apple problem or a PM problem?

@MyrnaBosman Did you backup everything in iCloud on the old iPhone phone then login on your Apple account on the new iPhone.
If not, backup your old iPhone by going on Setting>Your name account>enable apps you want to backup>enable iCloud backup>Backup Now. All you need is wifi to backup.
On you new phone, login your account and everything you backed up should be transferred over to your new iPhone.

Make sure your Apple account/iCloud is logged in on the new phone; any apps that are attached to that account (previously purchased or downloaded) should be able to be displayed and used on the new device without having to download them again.

Have you done a phone transfer? App and contacts should be all copied over.

@MyrnaBosman : I'm guessing your contacts were actually saved on the old SIM rather than in the contacts app. They would be linked but you might not know where they were actually stored. There should be a way to move contacts from the SIM up to phone storage. But I ain't no Apple guy.

This is a matter of the phone's software. Public Mobiel cannot delete your apps or contact list.

It is a phone problem not a PM problem if you are missing apps on your phone. Can you go to the app store and download the missing apps or try a factory reset?
